I think this article provides sufficient evidence that suggests children should get vaccinated. Evidence such as not enough medical resources suitable for children, and Non-pharmaceutical inventions are not natural behaviours for children thus vaccination becomes more effective. Lastly, even the COVID syndromes for children are not that strong, but they can be spreaders to their familiy members.
I can't find data or results concerning vaccination of children and its impact on opening schools. Because no children younger than 12 years have been enrolled in clinical trials. But the article had mentioned that the hospitalization rate in children infected with COVID-19 is similar to that for influenza, and influenza vaccination reduces the risk of influenza-associated death by 50–66%.
