I think this article isn't relevant to answer the question of children's vaccination, mainly because they do not take in account children in their method calcul : "The model incorporates age-structuring to account for children who are ineligible for vaccination, and senior citizens who are especially vulnerable to the disease." (page 2).
The study is about the efficiency of vaccines and their importance in the eradication of the disease.
In this article, we are much more interested in seniors and intermediaries.
But the impact of the miners in a sudden change of curve (page 44); the cut-off point is reduced by 78 percent at
Figure 2 at 73 percent in Figure S3. As we mentioned in the article itself, we took minors to
be as susceptible and transmissible as adults, ignoring the evidence [32] that
suggests that this might not be true. If minors have a lower susceptibility and
transmissibility, then the actual number of cases will be lower than the model
predictions.
We can conclude that minors must be vaccinated to reduce the trasmissibility between seniors and that to reopen schools it is necessary to carry out mass vaccination of young people.
